There are many network that provide links to maintain privacy so that one may create a special audience list to share personal matters. When post is related to ones business refrain from using emoticons, shorthand and other web friendly variations that makes content appear less professional.

About two months ago i saw an online product that i was interested in and decided to private message the seller. I noticed that the header of their message tab read "typically responds in a few minutes."

Three days after!!  Really !!

 I eagerly awaited their feedback which i finally received three days later. Yip! At this time i was no longer interested in the product. 

You see, we need to keep in mind that the customer has several buying options. Therefore, if they show interest in your product you need to keep them engaged and secure that sale. Try to respond to your messages in a timely manner. A day should be sufficient. 

What you can do to help build reliability is send an automatic response stating " I receive your message and would respond shortly" or you can provide a link with FAQ's, and if it does not satisfy the customer's question/s they could always hit the NO button so you could investigate and respond to them shortly.  

Phone Etiquette

How many of us have phone etiquette? Chewing gum, eating food or speaking to someone in the background when the customer is on the phone it a no, no!

In online business it is  challenging for some persons to engage customers over the phone therefore, the use of proper phone etiquette helps with this challenge. When answering your business phone be sure to:
1)  Greet politely- example time of day (good morning) or good day
2) Identify yourself by full name
3) State business name
